VISA and Insurance

Great news for Australian and New Zealand citizens — a Visa on Arrival (VOA) is available when entering Indonesia for tourism stays of up to 30 days, which can be extended once for an additional 30 days. You'll simply pay the visa fee (currently IDR 500,000, approximately AUD $50 / NZD $55) upon arrival at the airport. Entry is straightforward and no pre-arrangement is needed.

You can also apply for an E-Visa beforehand to skip the wait. Follow the instructions outlined on this offical website: https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/

If you are traveling on a different passport, please check your visa requirements before departure.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before you go, to cover you in case of any medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or unexpected situations. Popular comparison sites for Australians and New Zealanders include Comparethemarket, iSelect, and Canstar — all great tools to find a plan that suits your needs.

Booking Your Flights

The retreat is located in Bali, Indonesia. You'll be flying into:

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) — Bali's main international airport, commonly known as Ngurah Rai or Denpasar Airport. This is the only major international airport serving Bali and is well-connected to Australian and New Zealand cities.

We recommend searching for flights early, as prices can vary. Airlines such as Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Air New Zealand, and Garuda Indonesia commonly offer direct or one-stop routes to Bali (DPS) from major Australian cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, as well as from Auckland.

A quick way to compare flights is using Skyscanner.

Please book your flight so that you arrive before 4:00pm on 18 July 2025. Your return flight can be booked for any time on 22 July — though we recommend the afternoon so you can make the most of your final day at the resort.

Once you've booked, we'll ask for your flight details and arrival time, and will arrange a taxi to take you to and from the airport.

Watch this video to see what to expect at the airport.

Please note: flights are not included in the retreat package. Each participant is responsible for booking their own flights.

Black Leggings — you'll receive your Bali Retreat T-shirt on the day of the retreat. Wear it together with your black leggings for our Extra Excursion on Day 4 (based on your chosen activity) — the perfect combo for staying comfortable and photo-ready!

A Tropical Outfit for our Extra Excursion on Day 3 (based on your chosen activity). Think breezy, island-inspired looks for an unforgettable outing under the Bali sun.

Swimwear — As we’ll be staying at a resort with a pool, don’t forget to bring your swimwear! Here are a few tips to help you stay comfortable!

Comfortable clothes and undergarments for our meaningful Water Purification ritual. You'll want to feel both respectful and at ease.
